South bay STIers, I'm asking for a favor

I've been looking into getting an STI (the limited is very appealing to me) but I'm not sure if it's the right car for me. I don't know anyone who has one so I'm asking here if there's someone willing to give me a short ride, if possible a few miles on the freeway. I'm mostly concerned about bumpiness and interior noise.

The reason I'm interested in the STI is that I might be able to buy a car and leave it completely stock. I like the idea of not having issues with warranty and having a very reliable, yet fun to drive car.

I'm coming from a VW 1.8T with a decent aftermarket suspension (Shine) and I've ridden in a friend's Evo a few times. The noise in the evo is absolutely no problem for me but I find the freeway ride a bit too bumpy. The STI's stock suspension is said to be a little bit more compliant, so I'm hoping it is be somewhere between my VW and the Evo.

Obviously, if you have a ton of aftermarket stuff on your ride it would sort of defeat the purpose (ya, I know, I'll probably end up modding it anyway but one can at least pretend...).

We could go for a nice beer or a coffee or something afterwards and chat a little bit, if you want / can. Thanks!

Is there a better place for me to ask this?

Oh, I'm not an axe murderer or something like that....

Why don't you just go test drive one at a local dealership?

I haven't tried to test drive one myself but I heard some dealers are difficult about it, and I wanted to avoid the hassle in case I would not like the STI at all.

Anyway Santa Cruz Subaru offered a test drive on an 05 or 06, so I'm doing that this Sunday.

Thanks for the response though

only thing the stock sti really *needs* is bigger sway bars front & rear. I recommend the Cobb bars.

This and maybe wider tires. Trust me, you'll love the STi stock or modified.
