Hangin' with the a-club.

Hey guys,

Yesterday, I was hanging out with another car club... I hope I'm not in trouble for fraternising with a rival club...

This group of Classic Car enthusiasts dropped by the winery for a group tasting. It was a kick to hear these old guys talking about their cars.

There was a dude with a Stanly Steamer who was speaking with loving appreciation about how the boiler was double-wrapped with piano wire for strength... He sounded just like one of us talking about some turbo-mod, only a hundred years earlier.
What a kick

These cars are not much in the quarter-mile, but they get style points that we can't even hope for (gotta love an orange-and-white "horseless carrage" liscence plate...)

I invited them up to Dennys, but no takers...

That's pretty cool Mike. Did they stop at your winery? These guys were all staying at the Hilton were I work. There were about 20 or so of them in our parking lot. Real nice people!

Yeah, they all rolled in for an hour or so. Quite a scene.

I think I liked the steamer best. Gotta love a car where you have to light the pilot ten minutes before you want to go anywhere.

I didn't realise that they were staying there at the Hilton. Cool.

Hope to see y'all on Wed.

Well, it is yet another on call week for me. So me showing up is just a maby. It all depends on my work load for that day and weather I get a call that keeps me out all evening if not the entire night.

Man, my regards to you james. That really sucks, I wish you a speedy recovery.
I'll be there on wed, coming from Berkeley. Hopefully the traffic wont suck too much. I might bring a friend from the Berkeley meet.
See you guys tomorrow.

Nah, I think we should do something on the other side of 17. I found a new sweet road out past Old San Jose that goes out there pretty far.

It'll be sweet though, I promise.

I probably wont be able to make dinner because of class (dammit!!) , but I'll definitely be there around 9 or so.

Till then
