when and where do you all meet up in sc? id like to attend some meets, but there doesn't seem to be any local ones here. (monterey)
and if you know anything about the salinas area meet, info on that would be nice too. thanks.

Hey I am from the Monterey bay also. What kind of Suby do you drive?? I have the white STI w/gold wheels, u might have seen me around. There aren't really any meets in the Monterey area but there are a few of us that go on drives every so often.

 

we in the santa cruz/monteray bay area tend to lurk. ;x

 

there was a meet at the walmart in salinas for a while but far as I know there's nothing going on right now.

I know a few have tried to start up in SC with no luck. Maybe run more south and do something in watsonville...either that or do a once a month type of deal so people don't feel like they ahve to drive forever every week. I'd probably make one depending on day and place and what not.

if you go south you could meet up in gilroy? Hecker is a fun drive..haa. They have that new center with coffee shops and all kinds of crap over there. Plus there is a dude that works at GameStop over there that's from i-club. Be sweet to see him at a meet.

 

Walmart is no more the cops eventually kicked everyone out and posted signs not to come back. A few people meet up at Food 4 Less and Mt. Mikes in Salinas friday nights but thats it in the area.

 

SuzWRX- i think i actually saw you the other day in monterey area. route 1 maybe? i drive a blaze yellow '02 sedan with 17" bbs meshies, spoiler, no subaru emblems in the rear.........

onemanarmy- well, gilroy and watsonville are actually about 30 min north of me, but its not too far. i just dont wanna drive like 45+ min once or twice a week for a meet. once in a while is fine, but...............


so yeah, maybe i'll go to salinas and look around one friday night....... if any of ya'll wanna give a more local meet a go, me and a couple others would def be game.

Yeah I remember seeing you I think it was on hwy 68. Did you buy your car from Mitsu. in Monterey?? If so you took it away from my bf he was gonna buy it, lol haha. Anyways I think we should start up a suby/evo meet here in the monterey area because there are quit a few around.

yeah, we should start up somethin locally. i've been tryin to find some others, because i see alot of evos and a few wrx's, but never any clubs, etc. prob cause of the cops. believe it or not, there actually seems to also be a decent population of nicely done up hondas too. i KNOW they meet somewhere. just dunno where.

well, why dont you contact some people you know, and ill do the same and we'll just pic a loc and a date...................... i know 3 people off the top of my head who are down......... this weekend is not too good, but maybe sun nite? next weekend could be a go tho.

salinas is scary. why would people over there want to steal STi CF blinker covers when they dont have a subaru? and whats up with all that violence? geez...anyway. there had been a weekly drive in SC, but i havent been in like a year due to reasons, but i know it still goes on.

Yes that was me! You have a nice WRX btw, and Salinas isn't as bad as it sounds well actually yes it is. There is a lot of violence but as long as you are not affliated with any gangs and you don't wonder off into their territory you will be fine. I have lived here my whole life and I am still alive, lol.

That wasn't my bf but I know who you are talking about. That guy actually bought the car then found out they had a nice wagon for sale and traded the car back in for the wagon. Then he told us about the car and we went over there and it was gone lol.

Anyways yes there are a lot of nice cars here. My bf is friends with most of those Honda guys, the ones that are actually decent. www.831r.com is a local forum if you wanna check it out.

The following Sunday sounds good for a little meet. I will round up some of the local evos as well.

 

cool. yeah, the whole car buying story is wierd. the navy guy who bought the car found the wagon because of me. i got his car which he had for a week, the day after he traded for the wagon. he had a navy friend who wanted mine, but i beat him to it. ............complicated, huh? hehe

anyways, next sunday sounds fine. i dunno of a place that wouldn't advertise to cops too much. any ideas?

 

im driving to santacruz on june 22 and staying out there in the seaway inn until the 24th...

 

hey, how bout the starbucks/albertsons parking lot in sand city (seaside)? theres a motorcycle club that meets up there on sunday afternoons. i dont think the cops f*ck with them. ill ask a buddy of mine tomorrow.
