Redwood Rendezvous returns!
Once again I will be organizing the 6th annual Redwood Rendezvous Road Rally Adventure Drive and Camp-out, to be held the weekend of September 27th-28th.
This year, what with the price of gas and all, the route will be a little more compact, but will still feature awesome scenery while driving on both paved and unpaved roads, several Run/Work TSD sections for a little friendly competition, and the legendary campfire antics that these events have become famous for.
As usual, this event is for Subaru's only, and we can only allow a limited number of participants, I'll suggest at this point that we could accommodate as many as 10 cars, but if it works out like it usually does, it will probably only be 5.
The camping venue this year will only be 2.5 hours drive away from the Rallycross on Sunday, so don't consider that event as a conflict- instead it can add to the weekends challenge!
The key to getting in on it is letting me know, either by posting here or PM.
If you do, I can only tell you you will have fun.

Since you mention it...
On the first one I had both paved and unpaved routes available, nobody used the unpaved routes, and nobody has has asked for it since- but since you have, would that make a difference?
The TSD sections would all be on paved so it would not effect rally scoring in any way- you might just have to wait for everyone else on a couple of legs where the unpaved route is longer.
I think it can be easily done on the route I have planned, so if that gets a couple more people to join the event I'll do it.

Awesome! I hope to be there, camp AND hightail it to the rallycross in Antioch on Sunday morning.
For those who don't know, Pete's got the best roads you've never been on.

I might be interested...but it really all depends on whether or not my car is running and tuned by then. So I'll have to get back to you on that in the next couple of weeks.
edit:a couple questions:
where's the campout at?
where does the rally start / end?

Route is pretty much kept secret until the morning of the event, but the campout will be within roughly 2.5 hours drive from Antioch.
End is where you want it, you have the option of camping out or going home Saturday night, next day plans vary depending on weather and other events taking place on Sunday.

Won't make it this time for 2 reasons ...
1. I'm already committed to a hiking and photography w/e in Tahoe and Mono Lake on those dates.
2. I probably won't have a Subaru anymore by late September. Look for my car on Craigslist after I get back from the PE-130 August 26th.
For those who sign up - you will have a fantastic time. The roads Pete picks are always awesome.
Have fun!

I'm hoping to get into the housing market and selling the WRX will reduce my debt load and boost my down payment fund!
I'm looking at a hatchback ... 93 Civic VX gas sipper that gets 44 mpg around town and 51 mpg on the freeway!

It's been a long time since i've been out in my car. But if the dates work out i'll be sure to be there. Chances right now are extremely high. I've missed you guys.

I'm going to have to go out and buy a few new tires though. My rears are looking a bit chewed up since the last time i went sliding around in the rough.
And an alignment won't be such a bad idea either. Right side rear is kicked in quite a lot.
