OK so not everyone wants to do a TSD tour weekend, and some of you have other conflicts on that weekend.

If you want to do a weekend road trip, but can't run the event for whatever reason, there are 2 chances to come up and explore the area with me while I put the route together.

First will be labor day weekend, and the second will be the last weekend in September, the 25th and 26th.

For the first pre check, there will be a lot more pauses, so probably not as much of the route will be covered in a given time, whereas the final check will be done in an effort to cover the entire route more or less "on time".

The only rule is that if you come out on pre-check you are disqualified from winning in the TSD portion, but you'd still be welcome to join us for the event if youd like.

The Golden West precheck was so much fun Crystal and I would love to come out for one of the prechecks.
Are the dates still labor day or Sept 25 &26?

Hey Pete. we just talked about it the other day. Looks like i won't (not 100%) be able to do the pre-check this coming weekend. but the sept dates may work out well. I'll call you sometime this week.

A couple of people have talked about running up there this weekend, if you want to come along I'm thinking of meeting maybe up at Hopland about 9:30 or so Saturday Morning

Last minute bump for this weekend's advance trip

 

Pete i hope all goes well this weekend up there. Glad to hear that the hotel where you are staying has SPEED. so we can talk about the japan WRC when you get back

Not only SPEED, but free high speed internet too!

Some of these roads are unreal, most of our route will be paved, but the 20 miles or so of unpaved are on one of the finest gravel roads in northern Cal.

this is really going to be a fun weekend, (this one is too, but I was referring to the event weekend....)

 

Roo and pleiad, bushido and I are heading up for a final pre-check this weekend, Pete or John are you wanting to come up for it too?

(if so, we're in danger of winding up with more people doing the pre-check then the run itself....)

 

i wish i could take my car on gravel :\

 

If you need me to stay out of it so we could have runners in the race i will. Just let me know. The car need a total fluids change

Eleven hours and counting

 

Good morning everyone. It's 5:46 am and i have everything ready to go. Now i know we're heading straight up there to the camp site etc (well i hope) because my car is packed full of fire wood. If not my truck is going to be all torn up by that stuff.
Anyhow i can't wait to go driving. It seems like such a long time since i've gotten out of town and did some fun stuff
