Rally to the Rallycross, April 16
I thought it might be fun to add another event to our first rallycross weekend, so I'm organizing a rally to the Rallycross.
The rallycross is on Sunday, so the rally up there will be Saturday, start will be in Vallejo, we'll probably meet up around 9-9:30, hand out instructions and start the first car out at 11:00.
The format will be similar to that I used for Golden West last year, PC locations and key times explicit in the RI's your goal is to get there at the right time, and if there's a worker there you'll get points for arriving early or late.
If you can't line up a navigator- don't worry we can use you for working checkpoints, so let me know.
I've got a preliminary flyer posted over at the SCCA site,
http://www.sfrscca.org/RallyX/documents/r2rxflyer.pdf
I'll try to get one up with a little more info, along with entry forms later this week sometime.
It should be a fun adventure, hope to see a lot of subies participating

Postponed!!!
Since the Rallycross field at Thunderhill is still under about a foot of water, the April 17 Rallycross has been cancelled, although we are looking to reschedule one more to maintain our 5 event series for the year.
Because of that I am also postponing the Rally to The Rallycross, for a later date as yet to be determined.
Seeing how I only have one entry received so far, I'm not feeling too bad about this decision, but I am a little dissapointed that we didn't have more entries.
I'll post here when a new date is set....

how would a lowered car do in a rallycross?
I'd really like to do it...and do the class' breakdown like they do with autoX cause there is a chance I'll have a few class altering suspension mods if so.
Oh...and anyone have information on snow rallycross? I'd really like to do some next year if there are any less than 10 hours away.haa.
I have a wagon on specC's.

I think slightly lower car wouldn't be too bad. I least when I attended two years ago they don't have ditches or bumps. There were no gravel or other solid objects. Mainly clay like dirt. Most of the people don't even have skid plate on. I had front skid and rear diff protector and don't think I ever bottom out. I have bottom out before during a TSD rally, which was a lot less 'aggressive'.
