yah the meet wasn't too bad. if only they just actually paved the back lot then it would've been fine but it wasn't too big of a deal. i'll post my pics when i'm done editing them.

since you guuys never post your 'real' names, i still can't put the name to the user name.

and if the dirt lot had been paved we may have been asked to leave since most of us didn't buy food.

p.s. Huck, i think that town you were wanting to go and visit where Goonies was filmed is the small town of "Shelter Cove".

and christina and i checked out Haystack Landing *shivers* it totally creeped me out.

Hey Rich,

I drove up last in the silver wagon. Name's Joe.

Anywho, some of you guys seemed interested in a dent day in the Northbay. If I can get enough interest I can get this set up.

I had a good time at the meet. It's nice to put a face on someone's name on the forum. I'm the one with the Red WRX.

There's a few other (supposedly) haunted sites around the area, btw. Maybe not as gruesome, but they definitely have a reputation. Mays Canyon Road comes to mind, or the old Fountaingrove winery site.

Been to the Fountaingrove winery, its kinda creepy but I never knew any stories like that about it being haunted. My mom used to have her office there in those big glass buildings and I used to go over the hill to that winery just to look around. You can tell theres been tons of partying and gangs and other shady stuff there... broken bottles, trash, needles.

And I was there in the 06 WRX. Just drove up, ate, and then took off, had to make it to soccer.

BTW, after much investigation, I have come to the conclusion that the haystacklanding.com site is a total hoax (evsoul, I am gonna kick your ***!). I can not find any evidence to support the stories listed in the site's history (including the professor and his 5 dead students) nor has any local over the age of 21 ever heard any stories about the site. Basically, it's somebody's attempt to imitate The Blair Witch project (see: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0400533/) albeit with a wonderfully detailed background. I probably would've figured it out earlier if I had watched the "documentary" preview video clip they have on their site, but since it's in RAM format I refuse to DL that **** to my computer.

The other 3 or 4 sites that mention the history of haystacklanding all refer to haystacklanding.com for their information.

Those bastards.

actually dude, the video was a hoax, but when i talked to the owner (got permission from him to go inside the first time) he said animals dont like being near the area the house is, (was) which says it has to be haunted... no question about that...

but seriously the first time i went looking for it i stopped at that truck stop by it asking if he (guy working the little store) knew about it and he said there is a history none of it proven but a history a lot of older locals know about.

lol, owned! No wonder I never heard about this incident before... I actually lived in Petaluma in '95. I think this would've been a major news item if it was true.
