From what I have seen the biggest issue with a LOT of the larger tmic(especially cheap ebay ones) is that they are so god damn thick that you don't get good airflow through it. If you look at any of the more expensive options for tmic you will notice that they aren't as thick as the ebay cores. Generally speaking of course.

haha i'm not trying to do that by any means but he can see how hard it was to fit the sti tmic in a forester and probably change his mind about this one.
