This crew is really like no other, and like many others have said we are a family.
And like any family there will be tension or disagreements.
I've been thinking long and hard and I just think that with the crew getting bigger and bigger there is bound to be personality clashes and minor disagreements about point of views. Also we have so many different age groups in the crew that sometimes we forget that there are different mentalities. I sometimes forget that some of us were in college when others were still in elementary school. So right now with the crew growing, we are going through growing pains. And like Dino and a few others have said we will get through this and I know it will make us stronger.
We all just have to keep ourselves in check. We all have to be aware and conscious of other peoples feelings and personalities and be respectful of that. Basically, we all have to chill (myself included) and get to know each other better. I think things have been moving so fast that we haven't really gotten to know each other. For example, someone might think that person A is an a**hole for saying something, when really he meant it in a different context.
In the end all this petty stuff is minor to the bigger picture, and we need to remember that everything we do is for our club, for our family. And we all just want to have fun and enjoy.
We have to be better at communicating with each other. If you have a problem with someone else, talk to them about it. And if someone comes to you and tells you that they have a problem with you, sit back with an open mind and listen to what they are saying, and remember the ultimate signs of friendship is telling someone if they have a problem and for the other person to genuinely listen and put that into consideration.
Lastly, I will follow my own advice and rectify my part. Let's start off with a clean slate and move on. I see so many other problems (you know what i'm talking about, the guys who don't give a **** about tires that ruin our meets, and now people showing up at the meet trying to race for pinks) that may come up this year, that will be from outside the crew, that we don't need internal **** to add to that. 1 year, 5 years, 10 years from now, we will all think this was just stupid. Let's just move on and drop the problems.
