i think gst's time attack has either 18x10 or 18x89 with 275

they're not the only team out there though.. go on to teh_clap's page on iwsti about the pocket flares and you'll see some of the cars that are running the 18x13's and 18x12's.. i dont have any plans of running that big but i was really thinking about 18x11 which isnt that crazy..

They run 335's. And those fenders are HUUUUUGE.

Try and find me a single time attack AWD vehicle that's running more rear camber than front camber.

What these guys are doing to fit these stupid wide wheels on their subaru's is running HUGE amounts of negative camber in the back and very little in the front... I've even seen positive camber. If I have to explain why this is stupid...

My point had NOTHING to do about time attack cars. It had to do with street cars. Far as I know there is not a single time attack car out there stretching tires so they can say they are running a certain size wheel or have more lip for looks. The push the tires out as wide as possible and get wheels that fit them. GST in particular has their wheels custom made by wheel dude and the tires they run are friggin HUGE. The fenders have been modified several times to push the grip out farther and have more contact patch.

-2 degrees is fine on a street car. I run close to that and have run over that... much over. I'm not saying huge negative camber is bad. I'm just saying huge negative camber in the rear with small amounts of camber up front is bad. I run -1.8 up front and about -0.6 in the back.

If I had a widebody or super crazy fenders, I'd rock some 18x10.

I thought old.guy was going to buy some 18x13 Volk TE37s?

he might be.. i understand why they run wider is not for looks but contact as well as what im doing.. eventually im gonna turn my car that route.. as for now i drive it but im not going to try and "stretch" tires when running wider rims.. i don't like the look or the way they handle/ride.. i had a long convo on here through pm's with extremeyolks about his pocket fenders and rim/tire sizes to run with them.. i can get 315's on there and run those on the street with 10.5 or 11's.. right now my suspension is kinda off for a number of reasons but the car is gonna go under the knife in the near future and i plan on corner balancing and completely adjusting everything suspension wise.. im hoping everything works how i'd like cause that's the only reason for me to go "wide"

not a huge fan of LIC.. lets just say they're not the nicest people out there.. plus i like the idea behind what extremeyolks has done by making them on his own and testing and trials, yada yada yada... they're are good looking though! i've been seeing people using the s13 replica flares also.. my plan is to mold the flares also so it looks somewhat like its one piece.. i really want to go widebody but its soooo hard for me to justify 3k+ on the bodykit.. lol.. i saw some replica rear pannels on ebay and was considering trying to mess around with them and see what i come up with..

Yeah. His car has some quality aero and creates some nice downforce and he's got a pretty wide set up on his car as far as fenders. He can run them with the proper tires.

Doing it yourself is a TON of work so good luck and take a lot of pictures. It's easier to pick a set up. If you want to mold them you can still do that and maybe stop with a set of ebay units you can cut up.
