I've heard of people cracking/breaking their expensive HRE wheels at the track/autox. Plus they're fairly heavy.

Seriously. HRE's are SICK. If I was balling enough to roll an SL55 or something like that there is no other wheel I'd run.
I saw a dude come in to streetwise back in the day and just say... what's the newest HRE wheel you can get? What's the widest you can fit on my car. Then wrote a check and walked out. It was like $20k or some retarded number. I was like... WTF? Really?

HRE's don't crack they bend, they also are not allowed on some tracks. Baller wheels for sure, although i'd rather roll a set of BBS, Advan, or Volks tbh.

Side note... anyone have a compression tester and/or know how the hell to test a car that's wrecked. LOL!
I just got clearance on the funds for my sti if I so choose to go pick it up.
Taking a loan out basically from myself. I'll start selling stuff as soon as I get it to repay as much of it as possible. I'm thinking I should be able to make it all back if I'm smart.
Just the turbo/injector/intercooler package will get me started. LOL. Should get $750 right there.
We'll see. Gonna try and see if I can detour this weekend to take a look at it.

If I end up with the car I'll probably list it as a complete set up with the hubs and everything for people that want to go 5/114. I'd do it but I need to make money back from places that aren't as important to me right now. Brembos are a bonus. LGT is just fine for me.
If they don't sell I'll probably take offers on all the pieces. Once they're all spoken for I'll let em go. But you can have dibs on the fronts if that happens. LOL.

I saw a prius with HRE's once, special order to be lighter than stock LOL those will break easily on our cars.
