Unfortunately, it's pretty well patroled, especially on a Saturday morning.

Huck (Huck +1)
Cohlineman (JV +1)
Milesmatics (Miles +?)
02scubyroo (Adam)

Doesn't sound like Max is going to be back in time. And the rest are already going to be in SF.

well Adam and the rest of you guys. Although i can't make the drive / meet i did put together a great route for you to drive.

from Petaluma take D st south west and head out to Point Reyes / Petaluma Rd. come down into the valley and make your way around Nicasio Lake. When you get to the stop sign with the bridge on your Right continue (straight) onto Platform Bridge Rd. "It's quick with fast corners and no trafic"

At the end of road turn (right) onto Sir Francis Drake heading west.

go up and over the hill. Street comes to a flashing stop light. There turn (left) onto HWY 1 / Shoreline Hwy.

Follow road for many miles until you reach sea level. There the road will come to a split. The right going into the town of Bolina and the left going towards Stinson Beach (stay left).

About 100 yards later look for a tiny road on the left. There turn (left) onto Fairfax / Bolinas Rd. "This is a narrow winding road heading up the back side of Mt Tam." In the morning you shouldn't have traffic.

Once you get near the top you'll be deep into the trees where you'll come along the next fork. Turn (right) onto Ridgecrest Blvd. "one of the greatest looking roads in the world. If you haven't been on it you will reconize about 100 commercails have been shot on it"

At next fork turn (right) onto Pan Toll Rd. there you will begin to go down.

At end of road turn (left) onto Panoramic Hwy. Continue along Panoramic Hwy until it comes to Hwy 1.

Turn (left) onto Hwy 1 / shoreline Hwy heading down to Mill Valley. Stay on raod until it comes to HWY 101. then head south to SF.

You'll want to add at least an hour to the time ypu were planning on leaving. If you don't do it Maybe you can take a simular route some other time together.

rich.

I'm putting together another drive for Febuary 7th (saturday) morning to afternoon. Who wants to come?

I'll be driving part of it tomorrow to make sure that this one road is a "through road" before finalizing the route. But we'll meet at the Cheese Factory on Point Reyes / Petaluma Rd Saturday morning around 10:00am

It'll be no coastal back roads switching back on each othe until we get up tp Stewart pt / Skaggs Springs Rd before coming back to Hwy 101. Further details along with mileage & time will be posted this weekend to mid next week at the latest.

just sound off who's in

the run on the 7th sounds like fun and that new road down to SF sounds like a whole lot of fun as well. an hour extra is probably worth it ..

is someone going to remember all that direction stuff once we get out there? i aint going to lead. Huck?

If you got a working printer, just print it out. It's really easier than it sounds. Once you are driving it you'll see what i mean. The only road you have to be on the look out for "really" is the Fairfax / Bolinas Rd. It just comes up on you before you know it. But that one and the Ridgecrest Blvd are the bet on the drive. Especaily at that time of the morning, when what little traffic there is will probably be going the other way.
