An idea

With as many cars that are attending this function, I think we could use three sweep cars.

One per group, and I'd extend the interval to three minutes. IF there were a problem, it would give the sweep car time to turn around and slow down/warn the others BEFORE the next group came upon something.

Another idea is that the lead and sweep cars in each group have a radio for communication.

.
I said ten seconds between cars. That is each car in each group. The packs themselve will be spread out more like 2 minutes apart. Beacuse even in the small groups i don't want people bunching up. so ten seconds apart should work fine.

Ten seconds spacing per car within each group will not matter much once we start moving. We need to remind all drivers to KEEP that distance throughout the drive to ensure that there will be no tailgating or bunching up.

yeah im pretty sure people will begin to bunch up in thier groups very soon, especially since alot of people really need to follow someone to know where they are going that havent been on these roads before. though I think it would be good to remind everyone to leave a SAFE REASONABLE distance from the car in front of you, you all know who you are Im talking about

Eveyone who has radios bring them. At least we'll have them if it seems like a good idea to use them.

I have 2 FRS/GMRS radios with 22 sub channels.

the FRS radios are limited by lam3 FCC regulations so the power on the FRS channels is less then the GMRS channels.

So if you have radios, I would recommend the radios with sub channels for privacy.
I have 2 FRS/GMRS radios that can be used as well.

To get to Krispy Kreme in Santa Rosa coming from 101 North Bound:

Take the YOLANDA AVENUE exit towards HEARN AVENUE.
Turn RIGHT onto SANTA ROSA AVE.

Cant miss it, hope that helps?

~Anna

Edit, I just saw we're meeting in the Pier 1 lot. That's just a bit farther down past KK on Santa Rosa avenue on the right hand side.

waitaminute

why did we switch the meet point to the cost plus parking lot?

the SRKK is right at the end of the freeway offramp, and its MUCH easier to get out of and keep a group together onto the freeway from there. And they have donuts there, c'mon!
