I think this will be helpful for everyone when the day comes.
I spoke to a CHP officer at my job today and I asked for his opinion about large number of cars going to one place. He mentioned to me to try to stagger the pack to avoid bad press as well as being stopped and possibly TOWED! He did say they are aware of our cars (smog) and would definitely help if we avoided too much commotion because they would hate to have to stop everyone for inspection. The public tend to call in if they see convoys according to the officer.
I am sorry to be the bearer of this, but I think it is a serious matter we all should look into.
