SR is too far for me as well...
I would come to more meets but driving up to SR to meet is just a bit to far for me to motivate. If we can bring it back down to Novato, i would show up more often. Just my two cents...
I say we move it to Tresure Island in San Francisco. That way I dont have to drive more than a few hundred yards. 
I move out of the house in Tahoe end of the month. Then two months of training and deployment. Come June/July time frame Ill be a full time resident of the bay area again with no house to go to. Expect me to come up more often.
However, that being said, as much as I love to drive (I drive 178 miles ONE way to get home on Fridays) I am not much of a fan of driving all the way to SR just for a meet.
This group was brough back from the dead by a select few. Then I joined in, we decided on meet locations and times as a group and even had cards made out. To change all of that just because life has gotten in the way for a few of us isnt the way I think we should be moving forward.

So I think time and changes of this group had evolved because of the people who get involved. It's not uncommon for people to disappear and do their own thing. It just means someone else needs to step in to take charge.
I want to thank Paul for putting in the effort to organize meets (even tho they are in Sr).
If we saw the peeps from down south wanting to come out, I'm sure we would switch back to our regularly spot. Since everyone who has been interested in meeting up has been from up here in Sr, it was only logical to meet up here.
I'm sorry if anyone's feels left out but if you want to come out, speak up so we can decide on a place to meet and drive.
The flyers have a QR code and crumbtrail for this thread. If they were interested, they'd look it up.
I hope to see more new faces and the older group to come out. Let's make the next meet an event and get everyone's butt out!

I suggest those of you who don't, realize right now that this thread is not for a single meet or group.
Just like the larger Bay Area is a forum for the whole bay, this thread is a thread for the whole North Bay, which includes Sausalito, Santa Rosa, Napa, etc.
If a group of people want to meet in Santa Rosa, they are allowed to post here.
If a group of people want to meet in Napa, they are allowed to post here.
If you want your own personal thread with just you and your friends, go start a private one somewhere.
People do come and go, and lives change and things come up.
This is simply a place for people to try to organize gatherings and talk about cars within a group that is categorized by a rather large area (the North Bay).
Simmer down.
Enjoy yourselves, and keep loving your Subarus and coming to meet new people when you can.
I've met some great people through doing this, including my amazing gf, and that's what this is all about.
If you don't like that or have a problem with it, you can choose to do something else with your time.
Those of you that I've met I know you're all good people, unique in your own ways, but all good people.
So please remember this going forward and in your interactions with each other. We're all just trying to have some fun, and we're allowed to do that as much or as little as we desire.

Just kidding. I suppose since I have a fresh tank of C85 in my STI, I could make it to a parking lot meet within my fuel tank's roundtrip range, but no drives for me, due to limited range. Then you can say someone from the "older group" came out.
