MarqueMadness, a unique sports car festival and gathering of all marques and marque clubs is being held at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on April 28th, 29th, 30th and May 1st. Sponsored by Shell V-Power with support from Yokohama/ADVAN tire and Piloti driving shoes, MarqueMadness is in conjunction with the Grand American Rolex racing series on the same weekend. Festival ticket holders will have an amazing list of optional activities as they will be participants rather than just spectators during this weekend for those who are passionate about cars. In addition to watching world-class sports car racing, MarqueMadness attendees will have options to participate in:

-Reserved, festive marque corrals during the race weekend
-Touring Day - April 28th, this is a chance to drive the legendary Laguna circuit at "warm lap" pace, with a passenger
-Leadership Forum - April 29th, an opportunity for club leaders to share experience and ideas
-Marque Club Shootout Autocross - April 28th and 29th at Marina Airport
-Two rallyes - one TSD - April 29th and one just for fun, on the 30th
-Race Car transformation - watch a street car on Friday, April 29th, built in to a Mazdaspeed Miata Cup race car and run in Sunday's race
-Tour de Vin - April 29th, 30th in the Monterey Wine Country
-MarqueMadness Island - with a private tent, live TV feed of race action
-MarqueMixer BBQ - included in the ticket - dinner on the 30th with other club members and car owners as well as pro drivers from the Rolex series and others
-"Funcours" - a fun show and shine event - is your car the winner of the "MAD to HAVE" award?
-Road & Track Magazine's "Car I most want to drive" award - with an article in this leading magazine

This all culminates with a national live, national TV broadcast of the Grand American Rolex race at noon on May 1st.

OK so this is coming up now in just a couple of weeks, is there even one of you amongst the posers and pretenders on this board who is going to come out and represent for I-club?

Or will all the subies there be nasioc?

 

I WAS planning on going, but recent developments are going to be preventing me from attending. A good friend of mine is graduating from College on the 30th up in Reno.....so I wont be able to make it. Have an awesome time to whoever goes! I will be there in spirit.
