i met wayne gretzky
to make a long story short im a huge hockey fan, its my favorite sport by far.
me and my wife were siting at the bar waiting for our table when he walks in. i immediatly recognize him and start freakin out saying thats wayne gretzky to her. just seeing him that close would have been good enough but it gets even better he walks up to bar 5 feet from me to order his drink so i say hi im a big fan he turns gives me a smile and a wink but not in a cheesy way it was more like he appreciated me saying so, he then gets his drink walks towards the hostess. a minute later he comes back over sits next to us and starts a conversation. i cant describe how excited i was and still am that i got to meet the greatest hockey player of alltime, the only comparison ive been able to make is imagine you were 5 years old and meet the real santa clause

he asked about us and then we talked hockey, im sure he didnt mind it was a genuine conversation and he probably realizes what a thrill it was for me to talk hockey with him. next to my kids, wife and the marines this was the greatest moment of my life.

food was great, waiters and other staff were really polite, i spent 200 and we had 3 drinks each and i left a 35 dollar tip. were going back as soon as we can afford it.
p.s. after meeting the great one they could have served s*%t sandwichs i would have had seconds

working in a hotel industry, you get that chance to meet some famous people. ive bad my fair share of celebrity sightings but the only person ive really spoke with was Hulk and Brooke Hogan.
