headlight socket help:doh:

i have a 02 wrx and my female socket melted where can i get a replacement socket? any local pepboy or kragen please help send me a pm since im not home on the net much any help will do, i did some research and the 9007 femal socket looks about the same just need to get a second opinion

ya you did put this is the wrong place but let me guess why it melted.


You put in some Nokyas or some other crap brand of lights you ordered off line am i correct. and for that matter you didnt hook them up to a wire harness so if they melted you could just plug normal lights into the stock socket.

i am not knocking you i have done it before i am just wondering if i am right

your probably right i bought this car used but it had sylvania silverstars in it i currently have jdm hids and i just want to know if the socket i mentioned was correct so i can have it working properly.. sorry mods can you move this thread plz

I just had the same thing happen to the wife's '00 RS. OEM headlamps and all. Never had an aftermarket bulb. Just went to the pick n pull in Rancho Cordova and got a replacement. Wired it in myself and bingo!

same thing happened to me in my L, using Sylvania's silver stars. No clue why it happened. Went to the same Rancho Cordova Pick n Pull, got mine from a Forester and 2 gen Legacy
