Anybody have any news about the guy in the white 06 STi? Hope he and his buddy are OK.

 

What happened?

 

they will both be ok just minor injuries

 

i dunno how it happened i was in front of him, we were just cruisin up 9 and not even going fast i heard a noise from behind me and looked in the rearview and he wasn't there, so i slowed to 10mph waited he never came around the corners so i went back and found him off the side of the road with just a tree holdin the car from going down.
some passing scouts and leaders helped us secure the car to a suv and then we got them both out of the car and safe. driver has a fracture lower left leg passenger has alot of abrasions and cuts from glass but he was able to stand the whole time.
its hard to say what happened, but more then likely he started to slip in the wet and over corrected or somethin, weird cus we weren't going very fast at all.

 

RE070's suck in wet conditions, glad to hear everyone is okay.

 

Damn, that sucks. Hope everyone in the car is okay.

YES THEY DO... good to nkow hes ok. Thanks for the update WREX. like what was said though.. we were not going fast at all... normal speeds and mine were slipping also. Good we ended it and went to the Auto-x.
All in all it was a great drive and a good turnout. Cant wait to do it in better weather. Alos good meeting everyone out there..

alright guys, so i just got off the phone with my friend. who has gotten contact from Andrew (06 aspen white sti) he is ok, car is totalled, but he and his passenger will be fine. i hope this does not scare off people for the next drive because face it, as long as you drive within your skill level and level of comfort, it would minimize the risks. I am planning out another group drive right now, most likely early june, and this time we'll have it more organized as in who normally wants a higher pace and who wants a slower one. so that all the fast people go ahead and just pull aside every now and then into a lot and wait for everyone to regroup and then head on out again. this way it doesn't really pressure anyone to speed because they feel like they're slowing down the group. especially driving in the rain like we did today, everyone should take it at the pace they are comfortable with. thanks to jon for coming out and reppin my350z even though he was the only one. we had a nice turn out today pre drive it was 14 cars. (two s2k's, 3 evos, 3 wrx, one 350z, & 5 sti's. A total of 8 made it on to skyline and everybody else was held back because of the unfortunate accident.

but other than that the drive was fun, on skyline we let the faster people drive in the front so that people wouldn't feel pressured, especially my friends in the s2k not having that much traction cause of their tires. and every now and then the front people would slow down to let everyone catch up. when we went down 84 it was great just nice leisurely drive. definately next one when the sun's out we would be able to enjoy it a lot more. i'll post up a new thread soon on the next drive.

i have the pictures, but i do not know how to post them up, hahaha newb status. can someone tell me?
