Grip 'n Slip

It's a drift event put on by NorCal Drift Academy. Takes place up at Tunderhill. Not a competition or a show. It's all day track time. I'll be at the drift side with mah' 240sx. There's instructors for all us n00bs on both sides of the track. Gonna be fun stuff. Email me at Sauranas31@yahoo.com or hit up www.NCDA.net for more info. Flier below.

Sick.. I can't afford the registration/entry fee but I might want to cruise up and watch. Both the best parts of driving cept 1/4 mile.... you know that counts for 80% of driver skill right??? Nahh forget that, hopefully I'll get to see your 240 getting sidewayz

I'm interested, but I really don't know how to slide my AWD car. I guess I should probably downgrade the tires too (?)

If your serious about drifting your WRX you need to get some kind of custom LSD. Most places/competitions don't allow AWD drift. Something about it being so much better then any other kind of drift There's an STi that was at the last event, though.

Btw, registration is $120 IIRC. Limited sign ups. We don't want too many people hoggin' up our track time

I think the entry fee is if you just wanna watch. <shrug> Just show up with 10 bucks. Worst case is you have lunch money.

i read that I have to be there to check in at 0730? mandatory drivers meeting? does this mean I have to wake up at 0500 just to make it to the track in time?

There are two hotels very near the track. I've stayed at the AmeriHost Inn several times. It's a nice place, and about $60 per night if you mention you're at the track. If you can find a roomie or two, it's definitely better than getting up super early.

Just learned that prodrifters Calvin Wan (www.calvinwan.com) and Hubert Young (www.willraceforfood.com) are going to be showing up. To drift, to teach, to have fun. Good times.
