What about doing this on Treasure Island?

There's HUGE unused spaces with little parks and benches, etc... The one park on the main drag, the baseball diamonds on the east side and the sports parks on the north side that we can fill up with practically as many cars as we want. I've never been hassled by anyone when I've met up with large groups of cars there in the past. We would just want to make sure there wasn't another big event scheduled there at the same time.

Plus is largely central and would make it easier for northbay people while not being a big drive for the south bay folks as well. The only downside being having to go over the bay bridge, I thought about Alameda but they are very strict about gathering there.

Ya. It should be in the middle of the bay. I have to drive from Oakley. And people have to drive from 707 and don't want to drive all the way to San Carlos. Plus people coming from sac and other central valley cities. Looking at the bay area or from Sac-Turlock-napa-San Jose. Dublin looks pretty much in the middle.

I know our bam meets are far north, but that's once a year. A once a month thing should be in the middle so it's fair for ALL

You two present a very good case, I like that idea, but my question is how is lighting at night out there at night?

The light is generally mediocre at best, but if we pick the area right along the main drag when you are driving into TI, it's pretty well lit.

Part of my suggestion to do it on TI is also because it's one of the only places in the bay area that has a HUGE open space that is free to park/use a huge amount of cars and not get harassed by police. As long as people keep from doing stupid **** we wouldn't be bothered.

Plus during the daytime and nighttime shots of all the subies with SF in the background would be ridiculously amazing. Especially if we do it after all the christmas lights go up in the city.

I think the meet should be a weighted point, rather than max/min.

i like bridgepointe, because it's literally a 5 minute walk for me!! hah.. why bother driving i say...

but the lot @ bridgepointe is humungous but crowded, even on late nights.

theres nothing usually scheduled there on friday nights at all. thats a good idea though. have people bring out cameras and do some open exposures with the city in the background would look pretty awesome. plus even if it is "a bit far" for them damn peninsula people who we dont have to pay bridge toll... comeon hahaha.

EXACTLY, so can we say this is the location? Should we do 8 o'clock on the last friday of every month?
Worst comes to worse we can always try out new locations in the following months until we find the right place. Right?

I've been to TI a couple times. Kinda getto? I'd be afraid at night

It is a really nice place to take pics though. Ideal. But again, probably ruling out sac/central valley people.

I would think we all would want a good turn out. With that said it needs to be comfortable distance for ALL

I think we should do TI, if it doesn't become official I'll start pushing for a once a month TI meet or try to do it every other Month, I think it's the best choice overall and gets people harassed by the police the least.

Going anywhere near the south bay or most highly populated areas with a big group of imported cars regardless of brand is going to get us unwanted police attention.

The south bay guys always seem to be whining that it's not IN the south bay but they have multiple weekly meets peppered around the south bay :P I'm moving to Sac and would drive in for a monthly meet at TI, the Sac meets seem rather lackluster.

Sounds like a plan, so I think we can try and give this last friday of november a shot? 8pm at TI.
