Thumbs up Friday 8/18 Buttonwillow track day - only $175!

Leadfoot Adventures has a track day at Buttonwillow Raceway on Friday August 18th and reg is pretty cheap at only $175 for the people who sign up early. This event will sell out though, so you might want to register pretty quick. Click here to sign-up.

If you’ve never done a track day before and you’re curious about what it would be like to drive your WRX on a real racetrack, this event is for you! Seasoned drivers are definitely welcome in the faster intermediate and advanced sessions, but the newest drivers will get special attention. Leadfoot Adventures has a great group of very experienced drivers who will be instructing the rookies both in classroom sessions and out on track. Check out the “Rookie Jump Start” page at leadfootadventures.com for more info if you’re new to the scene.

For those of you who know Buttonwillow, we’ll be running the #13 track configuration, which includes both the “Lost Hill” and “Bus Stop” segments. In the counter-clockwise direction, the exit of the sweeper and entry into the Bus Stop is freakin’ awesome. Man I can hardly wait to get back out there!

See ya at the track!

I hear ya man. We'll be doing a couple of Sunday events at Buttonwillow and Thunderhill later this year. Next year we hope to head to Spring Mountain and Laguna Seca on weekends also.

We're going to be setting up a discount at one of the local motels for anybody who wants to stay the night before this event. We'll probably get together for some grub and grog too.

The early-bird pricing has been extended, so if you're on the fence you have until August 12th to save your spot on the grid for only $175. If you're new to the track we'll provide you with an instructor at no extra charge.

As promised, we've secured a discount rate at the Willow Inn for both Thursday and Friday nights. Whether you stay one or both nights, tell them Leadfoot Adventures sent ya and the rate will be $46.95+tax. Check in is after 2pm. The gal said the normal rate is $54.95 on Thursday and $59.95 on Friday, so that's not a bad price break we’re getting.

We'll be getting together at the Willow Ranch restaurant on Thursday evening to get something to eat and hang out for a little while. Hope you can join us!

Thumbs up

There's still some room on the grid right now, so if you'd like to go please register soon to make sure you get in.

If you've been waiting to sign up because you're worried about the weather being too hot, don't worry... the forecast is for an afternoon high only in the mid-90's, which really isn't all that hot for Buttonwillow.

A few spots remain open in all run groups this Friday: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. Hope you can make it because the weather forecast is for a high of only 95 degrees. If you know Buttonwillow you know that’s downright cool for this time a year!

are the Laguna Seca events going to be the same $175ish or is it going to be the normal $350-$400? I'd love to get back out on that track

There's no chance that Laguna will be $175. That track is REALLY expensive to hold an event at. The actual price remains to be seen, as Laguna hasn't yet released their pricing for next year. I suspect the cost to our members will be closer to $300 than $400, but I won't know for sure for a while yet. At any rate, you can rest assured that at Leadfoot Adventures you will NOT get price-gouged.

A few spots remain available in each run group so we've decided to allow people to show up at the track at 7:00am to register and pay on the spot. If this is you, bring $195 cash and be ready to roll!

I have to say, Leadfoot Adventures has one of the better price to track time ratios out there. NASA is the cheapest but you get only 20 minutes (realistically 15) of track time each session with only 4 sessions for a day. They do have HPDE only events but are more rare.

Continue the good work monkeymaker!

Thanks! We try hard to provide great value.

By the way, we have spots available in each run group so we've decided to allow people to show up at the track at 7:00am to register and pay on the spot. If this is you, bring $195 cash and be ready to roll!
