IMO...dont bother with a catback. It will only add sound, no power. Get a downpipe or turboback. Those WILL give you noticable gains.

If all you want is sound, just get a used muffler for cheap. $400-$500 for a catback that only adds sound...maybe 5 hp is definatly NOT worth it. Again, just my humble opinion

agreed with OCD, catbacks would just add anywhere between 5-10 hp... not much for $400-$500... buy a catback that is used and then another used downpipe.. this will get you so close to half the price of full tbe's that are brand new

yeah, thats just my 2 cents

Mike, you shoulda gone to uckk. There were about 50 cars tonight (NO B.S.!). Dan (davon) gave people rides in his nearly 400 whp gt35 powered bugeye, and "gilmore" was there with his sz55 powered BLACK (whew!) 06, tuned by g-s to 330.

I agree, I put my downpipe on first (Helix catless bellmouth) I noticed very good throttle reponse and noticable power. A few months later i got my catback installed (Greddy SP2) I definately noticed really nice sound, like a rumbly growl. But with the parts together I got about 10 hp gain. I baselined at 235 to the wheels after just those two installs. But the throttle response is what i noticed the most. In closing mostly from the downpipe. But I agree with subie OCD.

Although if you did a catback first then you would have a 2.5" downpipe going into a 3" catback. Compared to a 3"dowpipe going into a 2.5" catback. From a common sense point of view the 3" into a 2.5" would give you a little back pressure as where the other way would give you better flow. Not sure just a thought that i where talking about at the meet.

Just my two cents!
