So I'm helping to organize a charity poker tournament that is happening next Saturday, June 18th in Oakland and wanted to see if any of you bay area folks are interested in playing. Sorry, there is no prize money, cuz that would be considered gambling BUT, there will be prizes/gift certificates awarded to the final table (top nine finishers) with first place getting a set of 500 13.5g poker chips valued at $109 and a World Series of Poker-style champion's bracelet No poker experience is necessary, but it would definitely help =) We will probably do a 1 hour poker lesson before the tournament for any beginners. The cost is $25, and $25 for re-buys if you run out of chips early or are feeling extra generous and want to donate more

The event will be at the OASES Center (196 10th Street) in Oakland chinatown. PM me if you are interested in playing, and please invite any friends that you think might be interested as well. It should be a lot of fun and all proceeds will be going towards scholarships for deserving high school students.

oh yeah, the tournament starts at 5pm and goes till whenever (probably around 9pm) and it is no-limit texas hold'em
