Talking Bullrun 2010 generating interest for mini rally/ride

So Bullrun 2010 starts in New york city on July 9th and ends in Las Vegas, NV on July 16th. I would like to propose a mini rally or ride from norcal down to socal and then on to vegas. Do it preferably in one day, and do it the 15th so that we will be in vegas for the arrival of the actual Bullrun and we can watch all the sick a$$ cars roll in. There's also supposed to be some pretty epic parties if we could get in, paris hilton is supposed to be there afterall. Obviously we wouldn't be limiting this to subie's so anyone that wants to roll with would be more than welcome. If there's enough interest i'll map out a route with several stops for peeps to join up. The longest stop would obviously be in LA before we rolled into vegas.

And if anyone knows someone in the real bullrun that's rocking a subie, let me know!

Oh and if you're wondering why I didn't just do the real thing...it's $20,000 to enter

Nope...

This is the forum for people who only want to drive their subarus to coffee shops, then talk about how they've sunk a fortune in mods only to blow up their motors or gearboxes.

Bullrun isn't really a rally, more of a made for TV game of rich ******** making fools of them selves with their cars, but you can't even get hardly anyone from these forums to come out for a real rally.

I bet if the WRC came to the US you'd only see one or two people from this forum go out to spectate.

It's really a lame bunch here anymore for the most part...

What point in NorCal are you considering using for a starting point?

I think you have a valid point there but I also think you'd be surprised. I can think of at least 4 guys off the top of my head that would go to a US based WRC event. AT LEAST.

Point to point rally events aren't everyone's cup of tea and some of us are just broke and limited on time. lol.

As for bullrun. I think it would be kind of cool but I think gumball would be more fun. I've been wondering how the entry worked out. I think it a properly build wrx/sti would RIP with a good driver and navigator team. There's always a set of cars that have off road advantage and a set that have on road advantage. A 450 whp wrx would stomp.

^^ there is an actual rally, not just the 12 team tv show. although I can not speak to it's legitimacy, i can say it is 4000 miles and i am excited to see all the cool cars roll into vegas and hopefully show some subie love.

^^agreed sir, however I figured if enough people went it wouldn't really matter where we got in, it would be a party either way!
