...not too sure how useful my setup will be for you to have numbers on, since it's a bit random, but you never know B), and it sounds like fun.
I'll be coming from San Jose.
BTW -- an accurate measurement of car weight is necessary for an accurate 'road dyno', correct? If anyone is interested (and if it matters), I can post directions to a free and very accurate car scale in the SJ area (right off 101 and DeLa Cruz)... and no, you can't go by the numbers Subaru gives ya or what's in your door frame. Those never reflect actual numbers after oil, coolant, gas, etc is added...

Like I said, everyone is welcome and I'm interested in seeing numbers from any setup someone can come up with
. As far as an accurate measure of weight, I generally use the same weight setting for all WRX's (1550kg) and another weight for STI's (1600kg), but I don't like to vary the weight setting between cars to keep results consistant. Generally, 100lbs equates to a difference of about 3-4whp as measured on the road dyno, so its really not that big of a difference. I also usually do road dyno's with a full tank of gas. I've found that using this approach gives very repeatable, and fairly conservative numbers that compare well to the more convservative chassis dyno's out there. Sorry, no Dynojet-like numbers here
Thanks

Cool. I'll have recent graphs from Gruppe-S' Mustang Dyno also for comparison purposes, which, I'm sure, will be nice for ya
My car is a '98 Legacy sedan, but the weight is surprisingly close to a WRX sedan. With half a tank of gas and like 25 lbs of crap (books and stuff) in the car, plus all standard equipment (spare, jack, full interior, etc) it weighs 3140 lbs (1424 kg). So add 170 for me and 170 for a second passenger and that's 1587 kg.... guess it all fits in there right. Nice

Yep, sounds like it weighs pretty close to a WRX. It'll be interesting to compare it to your Mustang graph.
Thanks

I don't really spend a lot of time on the boards here, and don't know most of those screen names... so.... who's in it for most power anyway? Are there any intense setups planning on making the trip out there?
...just curious...
