Who was it that was looking for a co-driver? I may do that since Andy's going to be gone. I may have my great aunt coming that weekend too though so I'll have to see what that's going to entail before completely committing.

Hey Brian, if worse comes to worse and you can't find a driver/co-driver, you are definitely welcome to ride with Julie and I. Being total noobs, we could use the extra co-driver.

Also, here is another link to the Rallye homepage. I couldn't get your first link to work, Jane.

Again, I may be interested in co-driving with someone. It all depends on the family situation though as my great aunt is coming into town to see our 4 month old baby that weekend. If I can sneak away for a few hours I will definitely co-drive for someone. earthcrisis was the other person looking for a co-driver and I may end up co-driving for him but we'll have to see how the family stuff pans out.

^It's not a speed event. Even highly used tires would work!

Helmets are not even suggested, this is NOT a speed event, gimmick rallies are nice legal tours in the countryside with sometimes cryptic instructions to follow.

In this case each instruction has an A part and a B part, your job is to figure out which part of the instruction can be done first correctly- (in accordance with the rules and definitions of the rally) follow and record that on your scorecard as you drive along.

There are usually a couple of checkpoints where they may ask additional questions, and you can also do the poker run where you draw cards at checkpoints.

People that are good at this know all of Bob's tricks and will do very well, people who are learning run in a different class than the experts and don't tend to get very many of them right.

Either way, it usually is a very nice drive through some pretty country and a low-key low-cost chance to socialize/compete with other car people.
