Wait, so we still need to decide on whether to bbq first or after. Because it would be more beneficial to me if we bbq'd first. Last year took to long with the drive, even if the drive will be shorter.... Plus the whole meet can eat and bull**** together.
It's QQ thankyouverymuch

^^^ What he said. I think it would be better to BBQ first the drive. If we go on the drive how do we keep all the goods from going bad? I don't want to roll around with an ice chest sloshing around in the back. And it would be a little bit more difficult to coordinate with the others who aren't driving to meet those who are driving at the right time. Especially if something goes wrong on the drive.

If anything we can leave it with my buddy Justice or even possibly some at my sis/bro in laws place. Thats what we did last time. It just makes setting up for the bbq a b1tch.

Last years epic drive was long because i didnt take into account traffic (the cars that wouldnt pull over) and prone accidents, not to mention the drive alone was about 90 miles. take into account that we had to wait for about 1 1/2 hrs to 2 hrs last year because last group got lost and we had a fatal accident. you know damn well that a huge caravan at night IS more prone to accidents than during day light. lol

THAT is why i want the drive to be first and in the day time where there is light. you bet your *** i dont wanna be stuck in the mountains on roads i am unfamiliar with trying to get home after an accident, or getting lost.
bbq will be back in the city, on familiar streets. we had the bbq last time until dark, it was no problem, and were able to take our time because there was no mountain lions trying to kill us, and no mountain passes to be stranded and lost on lol. i will try to organize the timing so that things can be precise as possible, but we all know very well sometimes **** just happens.
that is y this year i have taken precausion by splitting up the caravan prior to the drive (so most if not everyone can maintain the speed they wish), bringing radios to communicate, and advise everyone to bring their own copy of the maps for the drive, meet, and bbq locations, unless you can program it into your gps.

ill try my best to pan out the timing as appropriate as possible. last year we went slow because we were catching up, and **** still happened. sometimes you just cant stop it. once jon (WESTCoast) and i have planned out the drive, i will have the time for everything. everything/everyone plays a factor, for those who are bringing food and stuff, i cant pack up and unload everything unless they have all showed up. so i hope you can understand on my behalf that time management is tricky when we have a lot of individuals playing their own part in the meet.
We would all love for everything to go well, for a nice great drive (in the beautiful sun), and a pig out afterwards. ill try my best to keep things together. I cant please everyone, but i will take in all considerations for the safest way to go about the meet.

So the meet time is 12pm... At about what time do you think everyone is going to take off for the drive?
Last years drive you said was 90miles, about how long do you think it will be this year?

Last year was crazy...... Once Jon does some scouting on the roads I'm sure we'll find out soon. I can keep an eye out for the police here in Davis, but they never fucc with us anyways.

nah im not gonna do that this year. the organization that i did third through the drive worked the best. we will separate into 2 groups, those who want to drive fast and CAN actually drive fast will be the first group. those who want to cruise will be the 2nd group. i will be leading the 2nd group.
