Stalling again...

Well I replaced the c/shaft position sensor that I got for free and the stalling prob. still happens. No codes found. I am thinking it may be a bad ground or ecm prob.
Only stalls once in a while and then takes a bit until to fire up again.. Anyone got some ideas? thanks

Maybe the fuel pump? My girlfriends old blazer had an intermittant problem with stalling and it turned out to be the fuel pump. If you cranked it a bit, it would start and run fine. We tried fuel filters, sensors, tune up, etc before figuring it out.

Well I also had to fix some wires that were screwed up in the kick panel that fed the feul pump power. It was corroded so i eliminated the plug and soldered them straight but it still does it.
You could drive it for a while with no problems then it will just die?
help.

Yes,
It would run for days without a problem, and then have bad days where it would stall at traffic lights, stop signs, etc. After continual cranking it would eventually start, and run again. The fuel pump job was expensive since the blazers was located in the fuel tank. I know your frustration. It was not easy to replicate when taking it to the garage, but it sure as hell did it when we were out and about driving around. One of the many reasons we got rid of it and bought her a Forester XT.
Good luck, and let us know what you find!

ok...im having this same problem. put a fuel pressure guage inline and im getting about 22 lbs of rpessure while its running, and about 30 when its stalled (pump keeps pumping for a little while after the motor stops). replaced the fuel pump, evap. canister check valve, crank position sensor, new plugs and wires. coil is weak, im gonna try that next.
it starts up fine, then once its been running, it just cuts out, no bogging down or sputtering first, just stops. when it does stall, you can turn the key off, then back on and it starts right up.
anyone have any ideas?

does this happen under any certian driving conditions like when its raining or only at WOT, just trying to get afeel for the situation and what engine and mods are on the vehicle . manual or auto ect.
One thing is it could be a bad relay for your pump and ive heard of this happening when it rains or on very rough terrain and if it is mpfi like mine the spec is 32-38 psi at the rail also your filter may be plugged up
happy hunting

sorry it took so long to reply. since my last post, ive replaced the camshaft position sensor, the crankshaft position sensor, fuel relay, and tested the fuel pump. we squeezed the return line to see if the pressure would shoot way up, and it did. so i think the pump is ok. the filter is brand new.
no mods except for a cone filter to replace the stock airbox, and its a manual. and lately it seems it only does it when its cool/wet out, or (i thought anyways) when the engine isnt warmed up yet.
when its hot out, it will run for hours on end with no problem, but if its cool out (morning, or a cold day) it seems to act up. i dont get it.
