Oil Catch Can for 2000 Legacy GT LTD

I see on ebay and many other performance sites that there are universal oil catch cans that fit on any car and will filter the intake air before it goes into the engine. I don't understand how this works on an EJ25 engine because there are 3 hoses that run off of the air intake, does this mean you would need 3 oil catch cans? or is there a much better solution i'm not thinking of??

I think these are for turbo engines. And I thought it was something about catching gas from going into the oil. But I really don't know anything.

A catch can is used to allow the oil residue from the crank-case to be kept out of the intake charge by putting it inline with the PCV valve line running from the engine to the intake. Not really an effective bang-for-the-buck mod.
