Catalytic Coverters and exhaust questions
I am new to this forum so I appologize if this question has been asked/fielded before. I have a 1997 Legacy GT and the cats are going, has anyone gone to aftermarket ones without the check engine light coming on, if so what brand(s) were used? I assume the removal will only result in bad performance and the light being on which results in bad performance.
Also what exhausts are available for the legacy(2.5)? I see a couple people have used stromung, any other cat-back/full-backs available?
Thanks in advance...

I would just replace the cats with factory cats. As for exhausts, you definitely cannot go wrong with Stromung. I am believe that they only have a catback setup for the 2.5s.
Az242NV - welcome to the club!
Your best bet to extract maximum performance is to get the iON/Brullen header-back system for your GT.
You can give them a shout at info@ionperformance.com
For the iON/Brullen systems, you get to choose your own acoustic preference as well as tip styles (single 3.5" or single 4").
Not to mention, their stuff doesn't rust like the Stromungs do.
