I need help! My 99 legacy pulled a P0420 code, cat inefficiency. The car has no mid-range now and smells like rotten eggs when I start it. I called my suby parts guy and he said $500 for front cat and $600 for back cat, is there any other solution that will keep my car emissions friendly and not cost me $1100 for parts!? Please help

 

Could go with a Random tech or Stromung high flow cat, that would take care of emissions and improved performance than before. I'm pretty sure smog would be no issue since PA could not be anywhere near as bad as CA emissions standards are.

Random Tech's cats are about $205, I couldnt find a price for just a cat from Stromung. Hooe this helps.

 

Try this site http://www.discountconverter.com/. They have some pretty good deals on cats probably $125-200 for this car.
