the bf is a jus a n/a ej22 with turbo looks beside the hood.

Wrong! More internals were strengthened than you realize. Closed deck, oil squirters under pistons, etc. etc etc. It was built to be a turbo!

how are the legacy trans's? as compared strength wise to a rex box

maybe, if the bf was turbo it would have the closed deck but to the best of my knowledge the ej22 N/A is open deck.

and dont get me started on the 4eat. the worst tranny i dealt with since 42nd turned disney......
