New member, new GT
how's it goin everyone.
i'm a new member checking in. as of today, i am a proud owner of a 2005 legacy gt.
i lurked around on this board, as well as searched all over the net for as much info i could get on the GT as i can.
i decided a month ago that it would be my next car. after weeks of research, comparisons, a new job, and finding a dealer that had the best price, things finally came to a head today.
coming from being a jeep owner, the power coming from the GT's engine made me excited like a kid on christmas. everything about the car was smooth.
it was tough keeping it under 4k rpm, but i managed.
anyway, i fell in love with it the moment i saw it, and now that i have it, it's even better.
enough of my rambling on, carry on...

Keeping it under 4K rpm, huh? I checked with several sources, including Subaru Service at my dealership and they told me to drive the car as I normally would...just not to drive it at a constant speed for the first 1K miles. They tell me there really is no "break in" period with these cars anymore.
So, I am driving the car as I normally would, and not confining it to under 4K rpm. I am keeping it under 6500 rpm though
