Looking at buying a 1998 legacy gt

Im looking at buying a 1998 legacy GT manual trans. I have never owned a subaru before, I have run across a GT in PA. The guy will sell it to me for $5,200 and it has 76,000 miles. I live in WA, so it will cost about another $800 to bring the car over here. Would it be worth it to purchase the car and drive it over? The carfax on this car comes back clean. I would be buying this car unseen, just pictures. is there anything I should watchout for? Thanks for the help. I hope to be a proud Suby owner in a few months.
man, you definitely need to see something like this in person to get an overall inspection on it.;-) It's pointless buying something by just pics alone, you'll miss ALOT of things. God only knows what could else be wrong with it that you don't already know????
Spend the $800 to go see it 1st if you got to IMO.;-)

That price sounds too good to be true. I would definetly inspect it, or find a subaru owner who lives near it to look at it for you. I would also check with the owner to see if the headgaskets have been replaced yet. These cars are notorious for em.
