Legacy GT to replace my wrecked WRX?

Last week I rear ended a Tacoma (with a tow hitch) in my '02 WRX....which was my baby. Insurance called this morning with the bad news....it's a write off. While I am disappointed to lose my WRX, I'm anxious to look at a 2005 or 2006 Legacy GT sedan to replace it.

How do you all like your Legacys? It will be primarily a commuter and weekend get-a-way car for my fiancee and I. Looking for the Turbo, most likely with the A/T.

I have driven two 5 speed versions, and was impressed. Much more refined than the WRX was.

Any feedback??? Thank you!

They are a definite upgrade from the WRX.

In which ways? How has the long term experience been?

It rides nicer, has more power (esp. in the low end), more room in the back seat. It feels more solidly built. I really like it.

I never did own an Impreza, though I have driven quite a few. So, a direct comparison in daily driving would be difficult for me.

It doesn't feel nearly as solid of a track car. I still think the STi is the way to go if you are a track hound. But, if you use it for daily driving, I think the Legacy wins hands down.
