I spoke to Jarrett (the original poster) last weekend and this is what he told me. Jarrett, I hope you don't mind me retelling your story.
Jarrett's car (an '05 LGT LTD 5MT) experienced the low rpm stuttering problem that all of us with LGT 5MT's have. My car does it, particularly when it is cold, but coming from the world of VWs I just have learned to live with abnormal car behavior so I ignored mine.
Well Jarrett's car had a particularly bad case, and he took it into the dealer. The first dealer denied that it was a problem, and described the stuttering as "normal". So he went to another dealer. This dealer acknowledged the problem, but was unable to fix it. The car kept having the problem, so Jarrett kept going back, getting more and more frustrated and disgusted and pissed off. After several visits Jarrett decided he didn't even want the car anymore, and since Subaru had not been able to fix the problem, Jarrett began lemon law abritration with Subaru.
After some negotiation with Subaru, they decided to settle with Jarrett for $4,000. In the mean time, the dealership fixed the problem by installing an ECM out of a WRX STi. So Jarrett got $4,000 and a fixed car. Jarrett now says that his car is faster than ever and he is really happy.
I hope I am remembering the story correctly.

Thats very interesting. I notice the studdering problem as well, but I didn't think it was a big problem.
I guess it would be easier to get it fixed now
Either that or I'll just get the reflash as planned. That is supposed to fix it.

Interesting...
I have noticed this same issue and wondered if it was a problem or just the "nature" of the '05 Leg. GT. There seems to be slight hesitation in accelerating.
Is that an accurate description?
It is most noticeable in 3rd and I (ignorantly) attributed it to the turbo kickin in...
Any thoughts? GTJarret?
