I just leased an '07 Legacy SE w/o fogs. I had them on my last car and really miss them, but the dealer-installed ones are $400. My question is, how much of the factory wiring for fogs is already on the car? If I buy an aftermarket set (of the same wattage, obviously, as not to fry the factory wiring) can I use the factory wiring?

Any help would be appreciated.

 

the OE foglights if you were to buy them are actually plug and play.

all you would need to do is to install the fog lamp units itself and replace the headlight control stalk w/ the new one included that'll control the foglights and install a fuse/relay and thats it. all the wiring is pre-installed already.

but sorry to say i have yet to see someone use the existing wiring to install their own set of foglamps...
