Cobb ECU reflash for 2005 LGT
Has anyone done this mod on their GT? Know of any stories?
I was wondering mostly about reliability/compatibility issues from downstream components dealing with the higher hosepower.
Also, any data anywhere on this (either dyno or performance times?)
Sounds like a nice mod....

Are you talking about AccessPort? You will get some noticable gains, mainly ~20hp and ~20lb/ft of torque with no other mods. Since it is a reflash of the stock ECU, all the stock failsafes are still in place. The engine should be just fine. Also, no one has reported any transmission issues yet, and it sounds like this new tranny can take the extra power no problem.
I haven't done it yet, but I plan on getting an ECUtek reflash, which should give similar gains. It really is one of the best bang-for-your-buck mods out there.

I didn't know other companies made a similar product. So you also have a LGT? Can you provide any websites with some mods for our car besides Cobb?
Keep me posted when you get the ECUtek done... I'd love to hear about your experiences. Really sounds effortless!

ECUtek can be tuned by any number of vendors. I'd look local for an ECUtek tuner/vendor. If they give you a custom tune, it'll be better then an off-the-shelf tune of AccessPort. Anyways, depending on where you are, there may be one near you. Hopefully there is, otherwise you have to do the reflashing through the mail.
As for other companies that sell parts, Perrin Performance has a few parts out. So does Racecomp engineering.

Vishnu Tuning
Try Vishnu Tuning in the San Francisco Bay Area. www.vishnutuning.com They have and ECU for the '05 GT, but I do not know anything about it.
I did Accessport Stage 1 last weekend. It's awesome! A lot of people will swear by a custom tone and granted, it will probably be a much more "personal" tune to your car. But, the Accessport has some serious benefits as well:
You can download new maps off the internet for when you add some things to your car and you want more aggressive tuning (right now they only have stage 1 for a stock car and stage 2 if you have a catless UP and DP).
There are realtime maps like "valet-mode" and "anti-theft-mode" that you can flash quickly if you want to, then when you want you can switch back to your "base" map, which is stage 1 or stage 2 or whatever you have. Also, using the realtime maps (or if you want to you can reflash to make it your base map) there is a "revert to stock" option for before you bring your car to the dealer.
Other little goodies - monitor boost, clear CEL's, hmmm... can't think of anything else, but I can tell you that I love it so far!
