I've got an '03 Legacy sedan with a Pioneer DEH-P6700MP and a Sirius Satellite Tuner installed. Bought both at Best Buy and had them do the installs as I don't know squat about car electronics.

I'm having a slight problem with the Sirius tuner not working the way that it should. Basically, the "up/down" part of the "up/down/left/right" button should change genres of music on Sirius, but it stopped doing this the other day. Now it just cycles through the preset stations. I contacted Pioneer and asked them for help. They suggested that I pull the power on the satellite tuner for 5 minutes to reset it.

The problem is that I have no idea where the tuner was installed to. I can't see it anywhere in the car, so I'm thinking it's located behind the dash somewhere. Does anyone else have a tuner installed in a Legacy by Best Buy? And if so, where was it installed? And how would I remove the dash panels to check?

 

I'm not familiar with the Sirius box, but that's normal functioning for a Pioneer. If it was different before, then it is probably a setting in the HU.

Without having the setup infront of me, I can't tell you how to get it back to what it was. But you might try loading up the Sirius, then going into the Function menu. There is probably an option in there for it.

Was anything reset in your car when this happened? Maybe the battery was removed?

As for the tuner, I'd check under the pass carpet, or under the pass seat carpet, or possibly in the trunk. Where is your antenna?

 

If you need to reset, find the fuse for the radio. If that does not do it, dissconnect the battery for a few minutes.

If the sirius tuner is controlled through the deck than the sirius box is definately close to the deck. I have a clarion setup in my sti and my deck controls the sirius. But i have a 7 inch widescreen deck so my controller for the deck is under the front passenger seat along with my sirius tuner box also. Its different for every setup. I would call Best Buy and talk to the guy who did the install and ask him, he is the one that installed it so he should know.
