so far i have indiglo gauges, sherwood carbon fiber interior, b&m ripper shifter, and WR short ram intake. i need to know if the ej220h is suitable for my car and if so is it worth buying off ebay for $799.00.If so how much work would need to be done besides just dropping it in? im just asking cause im getting frustrated with the lack of performance for my car and if i cant find nething im selling the car.

 

there are mods, but you just have to find them. I sent u a PM, check out that site and see if it changes your mind. Believe me it seems like there is nothing, but some of the things you can do will allow u to have power like the wrx's, but the room like the legacy's

 

If you're that worried about an aftermarket with catalogs full of bolt on parts, you picked the wrong car. The WRX is the first US Subaru to have a real aftermarket following, and while some parts carry over, you're never going to be satisfied with the performance of your car unless you swap the engine. Unfordunately, doing that properly can equal the market value of a 97 GT.

 

I have a couple places that i'm good friends with and they're going do me some custom work so anything i can get already made is great but my car will be really fast one day. thanx for the reply though!

 

I don't mean to keep going on, but if you know any good jdm sites i can get some parts from or things i can get straight from japan, just please let me know!

 

There are a few places in California that do importing. I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I'm sure someone can follow this up. I'd also search the forum for "performance parts" and see what you can come up with.
