So after changing gears and releasing the clutch, you press on the gas but the car is slowing down? Does the engine bog?

Question hill brake

only had the car a few weeks. but looking through the owners hand book it says the outback is equipped with a hill brake. would be grateful if anyone can shed some light on the workings of it why it engages and how to use the feature accordingly as it comes on when u least want it.

I don't think that's something we had in North American Outbacks.
