Tokyo Aluto Salon has been the biggest and the most exciting aftermarket show for Impreza owners.
This year, 2 Impreza in particular were standing out in the Subaru area.
One is ARISE Impreza produced by Tomei and Prova.
This bright orange GDBC is created for Tsukuba Circuit time attack purpose.
The target time is 55 seconds, which makes it the fastest Impreza passing JUNauto Hyper Lemon Impreza and might be the fastest overall with a battle with HKS Lancer EVO8.
Tomei engineering is well known for Nissan tuning and this project is the first Subaru engine they are working on.
Pushed by the high demand for Subaru tuning, they are going to develop their EJ20 and make it available for us.
The familiar company to us, Prova, is working on the chasis.
Prova is known for S-taikyu racing series (N1 enduro) in Japan.
They have been producing race cars within the rules and regulation, however, this project has no regulations. It is very exciting to see how this Impreza will do on track.
Impreza Asterope is the other Impreza that caught a lot of attention. Asterope is produced by ScLabo which is customizing division of Subaru dealership group in Japan.
The widebodied Impreza is going to be sold as a complete car this year at dealerships in Japan.
Inside the gorgeous body, the engine and drivetrain is kept untouched and left for the customer to customize them.
Subaru told us that this is not the rumoured 22B, however they told us there is a project going on seperately from this car.

Having just received my copy of the SOA owner's magazine, I hereby proclaim that the prototype Subara on the cover is the ugliest car I have ever seen, perhaps only bested by the 1933 Chrysler Airflow, which, at least, tried to have some practical application. Am I alone in this?
