I was wondering if anyone knows how to change out the hood scoop from an 04 wrx and replace it with an sti hood scoop. If you do some directions would be awesome.

 

1. open hood
2. unscrew bolts on old scoop
3. screw in bolts on new scoop
4. close hood

 

well i figured that much, i meant is there anything in particular that i should pay attention to

 

Yes there is,the insulated pad on the under side of hood will crease/tear
very easily. Pull the plastic insert's out / remove the pad / I think there
were 6-8 small nuts holding it in place. When you get ready to tighten
up the new scoop,dont crank down to much-just make it snug.
