Hi, I have a question for the cargo space of the WRX 02-03, as with the 4 door sedan, can you lay down all the back passenger seats and put very large stuff in the trunk and remove the trunk panel, so it will go through the interior like a hatchback?

I'm interested in getting a used WRX 02-03, I like the sporty look of a sedan more, but I also need a lot of space in the trunk so I can transport large stuff, I'm not sure if I should get a wagon, unless I can check out the trunk space of a sedan as well.

 

I have an 04 wrx sedan, but i think it is the same as the 02 and 03 as far as back seats go. You cannot fold down the back seats. There is however a small opening in the arm rest for like a few 2x4's or some skies or something small and skinny like that.

 

Dizzy is right. The rear seats do not fold down. All you get is a tiny pass-through where the armrest is. It's not very big at all. If you need the space, go for the wagon.
