I have small chips in my windsheild. Do i go get it replaced or is this normal. it hasnt webbed out or gotten bigger but i'll keep an eye out for sure. Is this normal or defective? Now i took out the white plug with black wire that plugs into round black plastic peice under the glovebox that i thought was for the DRL but it shuts off my fan for my AC and heater. where is the real wire to disable DRL? do i have to get behind the glovebox more or is it closer to center console? thanx all! Don't know about the DRLs but for your windscreen most insurance companies will send a guy out to fix the chips for free. Mine did. They will inject somethig into the chip so it won't spread. Worth a call to check, they figure it's cheaper for them rather then pay for new glass.

 

What you disconnected obviously wasn't the DRL module so plug it back in. The DRL module is a rectangular unit located high up in the kick panel to the right of the glovebox, you can't really see the unit too well with the glovebox in place but if you lie under there looking up you can the connector which is a long white one with 10 or 12 pins. It is possible to reach up there and unplug it, however if you want to be sure remove the glovebox and you will be able to see the actual module. It will have a sticker on it (top or side) that says "Unit DRL".

 

So there is no warranty on the windsheild? i only have 8000miles. now i have to try and get my insurance to pay for it... damn. is there sumwhere i can go and they the stuff that fills in my holes?
