I have that, and I only have 2780 miles on the car... For instance when I rolled down the windows yesterday I did not hear it.. a week ago I did.

Very annoying!

Is this covered under warranty to get it fixed?

If you only have 2780miles in the car. Take it in now. Yes it is covered under warranty. Don't drag it out and tried to get it fixed later.

So it is covered under warranty? the squeaking seems to be coming from the window and the rubber that holds the window...(sorry for the non-technical term). I have the same prob and I got 3000 miles on mine

An application of a small amount of Armor-All to the inside edges of the front rubber seal (the triangle part next to the mirror) will fix the squeak. Don't use much or it makes a mess, just rub a little bit on the inner edges that contact the window.

anybody had any success with that treatment? sounds to me like it would leave streaks up and down the window, even with just a little armor all.

I had my squeak "fixed" under warranty and I got streaks of something or another for quite a while on my window. It just started squeaking again - I have 36,007 miles on the car.

BTW, my window squeaked like this since the day I took it off the lot.

Armor-All has worked for me for a very long time. I did say to use only a small amount because it will leave a light residue on the glass where it contacts the seal. However it's just at the front edge of the window and not all that noticeable, and over time it will diminish as the excess wears off. I much prefer a little line at the edge of the glass to the squeak.

we have this problem on all are subaru's,first-please clean ur window-take it in-or just buy a can of silicone spray fron ur local auto supplier.spray in the gusset seal area(behind mirror) and on the horizontal seal running the length of ur window.its only rubber and it needs conditioning....
