not to change the subject, but 05 STI's compared to the 05 wrc sti, is the track width wider? along with the fenders being wider? Im not sure if its just the lips on the ralley cars or what but they seem to be flared fenders. are they completly 2 different cars along with wider bodies? which looks damn hot. has anyone ever built a sti or made it look like a wrc subaru? it may just be an optical allusion. if so where would you go to buy the lips, skirts and so on, even hoods that compare to the wrc versions? i hate to say it but i think getting a STI is goin to become one expenseive hobby

basically i dont think i will be racing them...ill stick to trucks. But the info i need is for a stock STI bought to drive on the street. If you wanted to overall look of the picture i posted above, would you be able to do that. Are there companies that distribute the body components that are the same if not similar to that of the subaru sponsored ralley sti? if so who is the maker and how do you go about gettin them? and does anyone know if the body and or fenders are wider/flaired?
i wrote so much before that i may have gotten people confused on to what my questions were.
thanks

Using i-Club's Search feature, keywords 'wide' and 'body', I found this thread:

Wide-body kits aren't commonly found here. JDM (Japanese domestic market) parts are expensive to import, especially the large pieces. Maybe another member knows of a JDM kit that you can find in the U.S. or a domestically-produced kit.
Cobb Tuning has a car nicknamed the Conebasher that they use for road racing and autocross competition to showcase their products. It features a wide-body kit that I think was fashioned in-house, or at least locally to their specs. Don't know if they market replica body pieces, though. Scrolling down on their page, one of the services they list is a wide-body fabrication capability.
I just checked out Cobb's link to their 'facilities' and saw their newer Salt Lake City headquarters for the first time. Nice!
