HKS TT in Ashtray

I don't smoke so my Ash Tray got the boot in favor of my HKS TT.
I picked up one of those car garbages that hooks to the passenger headrest. Holds more trash too.

The circles above the headunit is the Zapco SP7 Preamp EQ.
Install of the TT is easy. Make sure to order the optional wiring harness specific for the WRX, it will save time and cutting.
gruppe-s.com has the best price I could find, and are local.

Me and my buddy installed it. Comes with connector for splicing as I remember. I would recommend having a little extra wire and connectors around for the job as I recall.
Took around 30 minutes.

damn. never thought they'd be soo complicated? anyone know of good shops that can do installs for me? i'm thinking i'll just buy from gruppe-s and get some shop aruond the bay to do the install. the blitz seems really tempting... but i'm prolly gonna just stick with the HKS. i like the 0--60 reading thing. haha.

so.. anyone know of good shops around the bay that can do this kinda custom work? thanks...

gruppe-s is great.. ordered couple things from them lately.. good and fast service =)

i have the blitz dual TT it fit into the center console where the factory clock is.. bad news is... i never know what time it is hehe

good news is.. it looks totally stock.. only took me 5-10 minutes with a dremel to make it fit.. it just squeezes into place.. and not much material needed to be removed.. its just nice cuz it doubles as a boost gauge..

as for the installation(wiring) of the timer.. REALLY easy with the harness... just plug n play =) you'll probably want to hide the wiring.. so u may want to remove your certain panels (fairly easy)

another popular spot is next to the cupholder.. ive seen people install a xxx(forgot brand) turbo timer with a/f gauge there and it looks stock as well..

the hks timer in the same location looks odd IMHO
Do you have a picture of the TT in the center console. Sounds kinda cool.
