I've seen many WRX owners use these. I believe you take off the side marker, and just put these in it's place. Once it's on, it seems to be a good fit. Check out the Gallery Section and see it other cars have them, and see if you like the look.

I've had the replicas on my car for over a year now, and they have been fine. If you don't poke at them you won't notice they're replicas. And its thick enough to not be called a sticker. I dunno if its real carbon fiber, but it sure looks like carbon fiber encased in urethane rather than laminated. You do know carbon fiber without laminate is just expensive cloth right? it is flexable without the plastic.

I agree with Christian, depending on how much u paid for it, it might have been a the sticker that's described as the "Sti Sidemarker Cover Carbon Fiber Look" The real CF covers go for $100+. I wasn't aware that there was the real CF and the CF look when I started shopping for em. Just a matter of preference I guess.

I have the 'replica' STi markers. They ARE real carbon fiber and they are adhesive, but they are not cheap imitations. The real STi markers are pliable as well, so you can't make any judgements on quality there. You do have to remove your factory yellow side markers to put them on. Oh, and in most states it is illegal to remove your turn signals, so be sure you want to put them on before you do because they don't come off very easily and you'll damage them if you do.

Take a look:

USDM's wrx don't have blinking side markers, so it doesn't matter anyway whether you take them out or not.

I dunno how nitpicky your officers are, but i live in the bay area and have never been hassled for them, even with my big subaru banner on my windshield and gold P1's
